Daniel and Jane started his heating and cooling career at the age of 17 working for his father. With his wife Jane, he started Daniel Schmaus Heating & Cooling in 1982.

Daniel Schmaus Heating & Cooling moved back to Vashon Island where Daniel grew up in 1996. As the company has grown the name has been changed to Vashon Heating & Cooling to reflect Daniel’s goal of providing the best service possible to Vashon Island residents.
Daniel and Jane are active in the community and have raised their four kids here on Vashon: Kendra, Nathan, Jeffrey, and Nick who currently works as a technician for the company.
