We've been caring for island homes since 1994, and we treat your information the way we treat your house: with respect, and with the door closed to anyone who doesn't belong there. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

What we collect


When you reach out, book a visit, or use our website, we may collect:


  • Contact details: your name, phone number, email address, and the service address on the island.
  • Home and system details: the type of heating or cooling system you have, service history, photos or notes from our visits, and anything you tell us about how your home is doing.
  • Scheduling details: the appointment times you request and your preferences for how we reach you.
  • Payment details: if you pay online or join a maintenance plan, our payment processor handles your card information. We don't store your full card number.
  • Messages: the texts, emails, calls, and form submissions you send us, so we can follow up properly.
  • Website activity: basic information about how visitors use our site, like pages viewed, device type, and the general area you're visiting from.


How we use your information


We use what you share to:


  • Schedule, perform, and follow up on your service, installation, or maintenance visits.
  • Answer your questions and keep you posted on your appointments.
  • Send seasonal reminders and maintenance tips, if you've asked to hear from us.
  • Keep our service records accurate, so we know your home's history the next time we visit.

Who we share it with

Text messages and our scheduling assistant


If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about appointments, service updates, and reminders.


  • Some of our scheduling messages are handled by an automated assistant. It always lets you know it's automated, and you can ask to chat with our team directly at any time.
  • Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, or HELP if you need a hand.
  • We don't share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with outside parties for their own marketing.


Email


If you've signed up for our newsletter or seasonal reminders, we'll send you helpful tips and updates from time to time. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and you can also call us and we'll take care of it. Appointment and account messages will still reach you, since those are part of caring for your system.

Children


Our website and services are meant for homeowners, property managers, and businesses. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has shared information with us, let us know and we'll remove it.


Applying for a job with us


If you apply to join our team, we'll collect the information you send us, like your resume and contact details, to consider you for the role. We keep it only as long as we need to, and we don't share it outside our hiring process.


Links to other sites


Our site may link to other places, like Google reviews or social media. Those sites have their own privacy practices, so it's worth a quick look at theirs.


If we update this policy


We may update this page from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top, and for any big changes we'll find a clear way to let you know.
